Fabrication of Metal NPS from Plant Root and Tuber

摘要

The easiest, cheapest, most efficient, and environmentally friendly technique for building NPs has piqued the interest of researchers due to its numerous advantages. Because of their distinctive physical, biological, pharmaceutical, and catalytic aspects, MNPs are prominent in investigation. Traditional approaches for synthesizing MNPs are successful, but they require many reducing and stabilizing agents and gases, which makes the procedure lengthy. Nano-biotechnology relies on chemical-free plant-mediated nanoparticle production. Research reports discussed the manufacture of MNPs using plant roots and tubers, but these were infrequent. The plant’s root and tuber extracts are used to make MNPs as a mixing and binding agent because they are major sources of many active metabolites that can be used to treat different illnesses. They have also been used to treat a number of serious illnesses. In order to overcome the disadvantages of traditionally synthesized metal nanoparticles, biological synthesis approaches have emerged as a viable option. Biological entities derived from plant extracts used in nanoparticle production have been shown to be more effective than synthetic techniques for producing MNPs. Using extracts from roots and tubers to create MNPs is highlighted in this chapter. The various uses of metallic nanoparticles mediated by extracts of roots and tubers are also discussed.
