It is probably a good exercise to reread “The Discomfort in Culture” (Freud 1930) to remind us once again, in case there were still any doubts, of the intelligent clairvoyance with which Freud was capable of touching areas that, although far from the clinic, were still “green” under the psychoanalytic prism.
