Modeling the Dynamics of Vibrio-Phage Interactions: A Mathematical Approach

We developed a comprehensive cholera model considering the interplay between bacteria and phage interactions. Our analysis revealed three equilibria: disease-free and two endemic equilibria. Notably, we identified critical threshold parameters to evaluate the stability of these equilibria. Our findings emphasized the significant influence of bacterial shedding and recovery rates in this system. Sensitivity analysis has been employed to characterize the impact of bacteria-phage interaction on cholera dynamics. Utilizing sensitivity analysis, we delved into understanding how bacteria-phage interactions impact cholera dynamics. Furthermore, we substantiated our analytical insights through numerical simulations, reinforcing the credibility of our results.
