Geophysical Techniques in Sinkhole Prediction and Monitoring

Identifying locations that are susceptible to sinkhole formation requires the ability to map the voids in the overburden soils and bedrock surface and any dissolution features within the bedrock. Geophysical methods offer a means to produce continuous profiles of the rock surface and possible locations for voids.
