MMABP Use Case
摘要
The chapter unfolds the practical application of the Methodology for Modeling and Analyzing Business Processes (MMABP) through a real-world example focused on transportation services within an enterprise. Beginning with an overview of the transportation domain and the global process map, subsequent sections meticulously demonstrate the MMABP methodology through model of concepts, process maps, and process flow models. The model of concepts illustrates object relationships, classifications, and cardinalities in the business domain, with a deep dive into the Transportation Batch life cycle model. Process flow models at the conceptual level, presented in BPMN notation, provide detailed insights into the main processes and culminate with an introduction to support processes, highlighting their symbolic internal structures and their adaptability to different implementations. The last part navigates the transition from the conceptual to the technological level using the CAMUNDA workflow management system, which acts as both a process engine and a prototyping platform. The discussion hints at upcoming topics on language extension for execution, providing insight into transformed models and their seamless integration into a comprehensive system. To encourage hands-on experience, the inclusion of source code invites readers to run prototypes, fostering a practical understanding of the intricacies and potentials of process-driven organization.
