摘要

Various means have been created and are being created to meet certain human needs. Needs to grow much faster than the capabilities to meet them, which in a way serves as an engine for progress. Designing new products typically involves improving certain system parameters. Complex inventive problems require an unconventional approach since the improvement of some system parameters results in an inadmissible deterioration of other parameters. So, contradictions arise arise. The same in business, the improvement of some requirements entails the deterioration of others. There is a joke that a business problem needs to be solved quickly, in an inexpensive and high-quality way, but one can choose only two parameters out of three: inexpensive and high-quality, but not quick (the problem will require a very long time to be resolved).
