Neuroethics

Neuroethics was officially born at the beginning of the twenty-first century, thanks to the advance of neuroscience, as the ethics of neuroscience and the neuroscience of ethics. The former attempts to develop an ethical framework for regulating behavior in neuroscientific research and its application to humans, while the latter refers to the impact of neuroscientific knowledge on our understanding of ethics itself. This chapter aims to briefly discuss neuroethics in its dual aspect and to address the challenge of naturalism in neuroethics.
