Ecological Ethics: Critical Review and Proposed Rationale

The text addresses the increasing porosity of the boundaries that define ecological ethics as a specific field, as well as its growing complexity due to its intersection with various disciplines. It examines several ethical currents, from traditional to contemporary, including ecofeminism, utilitarianism, and deep ecology, among others, highlighting both their contributions and limitations. A common ethical-discursive foundation for ecological ethics is proposed, aiming to overcome the aporias detected in the different analyzed currents.
