The effects of environmental pollutants on public health have attracted worldwide attention and led to various research studies. Separation and removal of environmental contaminants are crucial to reduce the disease threat to human health. Many studies have proven that molecular imprinted polymers (MIPs) have been produced for use in a variety of environmental monitoring, purification, and removal applications. This book chapter provides a comprehensive overview of the molecularly imprinted polymer-based applications used in the purification and removal of various environmental contaminants.
