What are we actually doing to avert the biological catastrophe we are deep into? Generically speaking, there are two types of biodiversity conservation strategies: in situ conservation; i.e., conservation in the places where biodiversity lives; and ex situ conservation, which means conservation of biodiversity outside the places where it exists naturally.
