摘要

This chapter consists of a development of the study perspectives of the circular economy applied in tourism, emphasizing the importance of transportation in the sustainability of the sector, given that tourism cannot be understood without transportation, not only of people but also of goods. In this sense, transportation is considered a fundamental axis in the value chain of the tourism sector; it is responsible for the environmental impact of tourist activity and, in turn, is one of the least studied in the circular economy. Without losing sight of existing good practices and the sector’s need to implement more circular business models, this qualitative work aims to identify the transport flows across the customer’s touchpoints with accommodation and catering services, where circular practices can be implemented.
