Assertiveness, Citizenship, and Subjective Well-Being in Higher Education Students
摘要
The study aims to demonstrate that assertiveness is an element that gives rise to the conformation of citizenship practices. The correlation between assertiveness as a pillar of the citizen and subjective well-being in higher education students was analysed with a quantitative, non-experimental, and cross-sectional methodology. An instrument consisting of 20 items of own elaboration was applied. The population consists of 215 students of higher education; the sampling was stratified random probabilistic, giving 106 cases, and the reliability is 95%. It was found that there is a moderate to strong relationship between the variables, with a significance level of less than 0.05 and a maximum correlation coefficient of 0.447. Therefore, it is concluded that assertiveness promotes in students the appropriate expression of opinions and feelings that strengthen social cohesion while promoting a feeling of subjective well-being in its cognitive and affective dimensions.
