Applications
摘要
In this chapter the most important applications of total absorption gamma spectroscopy will be presented. The first part is devoted to the impact of the technique in nuclear structure. It will include the possibility of determining the shape of the beta decaying state in particular cases and the quenching of the Gamow–Teller strength. Later in the chapter reactor applications are covered. This will include in particular the relevance of beta decay data free from the Pandemonium effect in reactor decay heat calculations and in the prediction of the antineutrino spectrum from reactors. Finally, examples of the use of total absorption measurements in astrophysics will be presented.
