State Variable Versus Process Variable
摘要
ItState variable hasProcess variable been shown in the previous chapters that it is important to distinguish between state and process variables. State variables indicate the state of a thermodynamic system. Furthermore, they can be depicted, for example, in a p, v-diagram. The state of an ideal gas is defined by two independent state variables, so that each p, v-pair in a p, v-diagram uniquely defines the state of a system, see Fig. 10.1. Consequently, the change of a specific state variable \(\Delta z\) can be calculated by initial and final state.
