Glycerol and Glycerol Phosphates

Glycerol and glycerol phosphates are measured using standard technologies and are useful in the diagnosis of disorders of glycerol metabolism. Glycerol kinase deficiency is the main disorder of glycerol metabolism and occurs in a complex as well as an isolated form. In addition, enzymatic analysis and DNA sequencing are possible.
