Introduction
摘要
This chapter serves as an introduction to Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive, degenerative brain disorder leading to death. Unfortunately, at the present time, there is no simple clinical test to diagnose this condition. This chapter also discusses the potential of the eye as an early biomarker for Alzheimer’s disease. Retinal thinning and optic nerve atrophy have been reported in patients with Alzheimer’s disease.
