Telemedicine Interventions in India: Understanding Facilitators and Impediments
摘要
This study aimed to clarify the medical service quality parameters and barriers to telemedicine adoption in India. India’s vast landscape and predominantly rural population provide an urgent demand for healthcare services. All these issues can be resolved by telemedicine, although it is still in its infancy. Therefore, it is imperative to identify research elements that enhance telemedicine uptake in India. To strengthen the telemedicine infrastructure in India, certain bottlenecks and facilitators must be identified. Additionally, it is important to hasten the investigation and practical deployment of telemedicine during the COVID-19 pandemic. To enhance our understanding of telemedicine by providing a comprehensive overview, this study examined telemedicine projects, their state, dimensions of medical service quality, and barriers using a conceptual framework. Other nations on the Indian subcontinent could also validate the study approach, allowing for the hassle-free implementation of telemedicine.
