Conclusions and Recommendations for “Managed Aquifer Recharge in the MENA Countries”
摘要
The groundwater resources in the MENA region are currently characterized by challenges related to assessment, quality, management, and sustainability. In most MENA countries, groundwater serves as the primary source of fresh water and is utilized for irrigation, domestic, and industrial needs. Adapting to upcoming challenges is key in managing groundwater resources in the MENA region through Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR). This chapter acknowledges that achieving this goal requires MAR to incorporate integrated flexibility, thorough research, and practical applications. Throughout this book project, editorial teams have pinpointed areas for potential enhancements. Drawing on the authors' conclusions and insights, this chapter presents several recommendations, offering guidance for future researchers to extend the work beyond the scope of this book.
