This chapter is a tribute to Piero Angela, who in Italy opened the door to scientific divulgation through the media. His wish was to introduce the Italian population to biology, medicine, and Science in general. Piero Angela was born in Turin on December 22, 1928, and died in Rome on August 13, 2022. He was the most distinguished Italian popularizer of science, television host, and essayist.
