Identifying Key Issues to Enhance the Cybersecurity Awareness Strategy within Organizations

The impact of cybersecurity threats has had a significant negative effect on organizations in terms of financial, operational, and external stakeholder trust. Promoting awareness of the importance of secure technology usage in the cyber world is crucial. This research aims to identify key issues affecting the establishment of cybersecurity awareness within organizations and analyze qualitative data from the perspective of cybersecurity experts through in-depth interviews with 15 participants. The interview questions were systematically developed to validate their ability to explain phenomena affecting cybersecurity awareness. Analysis of the qualitative data revealed four significant issues that influence cybersecurity awareness within organizations including security risks faced by organizations, cyberattacks on individuals, threats to organizational security and problem-solving guidelines. In conclusion. The research findings highlight the importance of fostering cybersecurity awareness for all individuals within an organization and consider it a vital component in sustaining cyber security.
