Marriage and Life Expectancy

This chapter describes a wedding ritual at Classical Athens. It also describes in brief various aspects of a couple’s relation, such as the dowry, the divorce, and the case of abortion. It also connects this discussion to the issue of life expectancy of the Athenians.
