摘要

Through a systemic lens and ecological systems theory, we explore how interracial, intercultural, and interfaith couples navigate their daily activities and share living space with each other. We also explore how they navigate the emotional space between them and others. Further, as a potential part of this process, topics such as engagement occur. It’s important for clinicians to learn how to help interracial/intercultural/interfaith partners navigate cohabitation as it may bring up issues around individualism, family approval, foundational and cohabitation identity, finances, normativity, and engagement.
