Exploring Quantum-Resistant Cryptography Solutions for Health Data Exchange
摘要
As quantum computing technology advances, traditional cryptographic methods face an unprecedented threat to their security, potentially compromising sensitive health data exchanged within Health Care (HC) systems. This chapter investigates the pressing need for Quantum-Resistant Cryptography (QRC) solutions to protect health data exchange from emerging quantum computing threats. We explore the challenges quantum computing poses to existing cryptographic methods and delve into the promise of Quantum-Resistant Algorithms (QRAs), such as Lattice-Based Cryptography (LBC) and hash-based schemes, as viable alternatives to ensure health data’s confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity in the quantum era. By exploring the potential benefits and challenges of adopting QRC in HC systems, this chapter highlights the critical role of proactive preparation in safeguarding patient privacy and data security.
