Collaborative Workshop for Women in Mathematical Biology: Mathematical Modeling for Women’s Health

Despite advances in health care, women continue to have disparate outcomes. Women experience higher morbidity and mortality especially with regard to cancer, cardiovascular disease, and recently COVID-19. Reproductive health and maternity are also a continued source of health risk. Collaborative teams were formed during a workshop to study topics relevant to women’s health using mathematical modeling. Here, the workshop is described, and research topics are introduced.
