Special Considerations: The Floating Flail Chest—A New Entity

Floating flail chest is the combination of ipsilateral floating shoulder and flail chest. In this chapter, we aim to highlight the importance of recognizing this challenging injury and the role of the restoration of the scapula-clavicular arch to improve respiratory function and pain control.
