Scapular fractures generally occur in the context of a high-energy chest trauma scenario. Understanding the anatomy, biomechanics, and mechanism of injury, as well as epidemiologic aspects is essential for the correct management of the scapular fractures. In this chapter, we will present the essential basis for the correct interpretation and management of scapular fractures.
