摘要

Peru is surprising by its extraordinary natural diversity. This manifests itself, among other things, in the scorching expanses of the desert alongside the sometimes turbulent waters of the Pacific when violent phenomena like El Niño disrupt its waves; or in the cool waters of Lake Titicaca, near which the Uros peoples have preserved their ancestral traditions; the snow-capped peaks of the Andes, which were once witness to human sacrifices; the heat of the Amazonian jungle overflowing with wildlife; and the cool grassy steppes of the puna, where herds of camelids graze. This diversity amazes and cannot leave the traveler indifferent.
