The Equations of Magnetohydrodynamics

In this chapter, a summary of electromagnetics and fluid mechanics equations from physics and mathematical perspectives is provided for the case of incompressible fluid. The mathematical models such as pressure driven MHD duct flow, electrically driven MHD flow in infinite regions, inductionless MHD flow with electric potential when external magnetic field applies perpendicular or parallel to the pipe axis, and natural and mixed convection MHD flows in enclosures. Full MHD flow equations with the presence of induced magnetic field components are also provided.
