The Future of Orthopedic Sports Medicine
摘要
As philosopher and former New York Yankee professional baseball player Yogi Berra stated “It’s tough to make predictions, especially about the future.” Change tends to be less than predicted in the short term and in the longer term more than expected. Disruptive technology, one that displaces an established technology and shakes up the industry or a ground-breaking product that creates a completely new industry, is one reason. Therefore we don’t want to get too far in front of ourselves; this chapter is a view of existing frontiers where incremental change could lead to welcome improvements in the care of the sports medicine patient.
