However, since the Covid-19 pandemic, there has been a growing focus on studying the potential drawbacks, such as fatigue and adverse health effects. In this chapter, we will review the research on the benefits and challenges of videoconferencing. The post-pandemic workplace contexts are likely to continue to use videoconferences in various capacities. For example, video communication has expanded its role into areas such as entrepreneurial fundraising pitch presentations and casual interactions among employees. Our chapter discusses future research directions and practical implications for effective use of videoconferences in the post-pandemic era.
