摘要

Women are under-represented in research studies and in the collection of data to answer policy and practice questions. These gender data gaps have been identified in health, mental health, substance abuse, and other elements of the social determinants or sociostructural components of behavioral health. This chapter describes the effects of gender gap data in the provision of services, the planning of services, evaluation, and assessment, as well as addressing the lack of relevant data on women’s well-being.
