Policies and Procedures
摘要
No matter how authoritarian or permissive you are in the classroom, every instructor needs to create and fairly enforce policies and procedures. This chapter starts by considering why we have policies, then offers three considerations for designing them: alignment to learning outcomes; balancing your needs with those of the students; and the FATE principles. From there, we explore a variety of different potential policy areas, such as attendance, enforcing deadlines, academic honesty, accommodating disabilities, classroom safety, device usage, political ideology, and many others.
