Techniques for Teaching Political Science
摘要
While choosing teaching techniques is just one step in designing learning experiences, it is the one that most instructors focus on. This chapter divides various types of instructional techniques up according to timing within the lesson: the Beginning, where instructors will want to prepare students to learn, motivate their interest, and build community; the Middle, where you execute learning experiences grounded in well-designed lectures, discussions, small group activities, and simulations and games; and the Closing, where you prompt reflection on learning and provide additional resources and opportunities to continue learning.
