Circulating Best Practices—When Integrated Thinking Gets on the Podium

Several organizations in the world are engaged in identifying and rewarding best practices, through prizes and awards. Financial and non-financial reporting, as well as sustainable practices of various type of companies acting in various contexts are often under scrutiny. This chapter looks at methodologies used by award committees in selecting the best performers, with a focus on the “Integrated Thinking award” of the Institute for a Responsible Capitalism in France. This gives the opportunity to map the actors engaged in promoting best practices in Integrated Thinking (companies, organizations, associations), as well as the criteria used in selection, as a basis for further defining the concept and its application.
