Cycle 3: Verifying Phase

This chapter describes the last part of the design process of the project of the interface of a web app managing the smart system submitting haptic feedback to train the gait and posture of people affected by Parkinson’s Disease. During this last part of the cycle, the multidisciplinary research team involved in the project, together with representatives of the selected category of users, developed the prototypes of a web app submitting the sensory cues. The app prototypes are structured following the requirements of the two main typologies of users using them: patients with Parkinson’s disease training themselves to improve their gait and posture to slow their motor degeneration; and medical operators rehabilitating patients with gait and posture impairments by planning, setting, and collecting data about their training session enhanced by the application of smart systems.
