Cycle 3: System Interface

The PASSO research project is composed of three design cycles, this chapter presents the third and last cycle aiming to design the graphical interface for the developed system. As in the previous cycles, even the current one was divided into the four phases of planning, analyzing, creating, and verifying. This chapter describes the design process leading to the design of a web app managing the rehabilitation system, and the User-Centered methodology applied to define the users’ requirements adopted to guarantee a high level of usability. The designed web app is developed in two main versions: the one for the person affected by Parkinson’s disease, which requires a little information and a visualization of the system’s feedback, and a version conceived for the medical operator, presenting more options and communicating technical information and parameters about the patient.
