Design of a Smart mHealth System
摘要
In this chapter, the author presents the process leading to the choice of the specific research field of the PASSO project. After explaining the general project requirements, the author considers the importance of the collection and classification of users’ needs in this typology of design research. Moreover, it was defined the use case study of Gait Tutor as the starting point of this project: this reference can be implemented thanks to a different use of signals submitted to the users, specifically, it was considered to design novel sensory cues, requiring a low level of cognitive engagement, to influence the patient’s gait and posture without making him feel overwhelmed. Finally, it was described the design process structure, composed of three cycles, each one divided in several design phases.
