摘要

Future wireless networks are expected to support diverse vertical industries and offer countless emerging use cases. To satisfy stringent requirements of diversified services, many efforts have been made by industry and academia to develop network slicing. By tailoring the infrastructure network into multiple logical networks according to the service demand, network slicing enables flexible and efficient resource allocation. The research about network slices cover management and orchestration of core network slices, resource scheduling of radio access network slices, the fast deployment of end-to-end slices, and so on. However, the proliferation of new smart terminals and the explosion of new intelligent applications bring more challenges in cross-domain multi-dimensional resource management. Dealing with the personalization of user behavior and the uncertainty of network status, the integration of artificial intelligence in network slicing is urgent. In addition, vertical market participants lacking infrastructures and mobile virtual network operators with limited capacity or coverage are participating as tenants in new collaborative business models, renting physical resources from infrastructure providers to provide services for users. Maintaining high quality of user experience while obtaining high revenue for service providers also becomes extremely challenging.
