Cryopreservation, for many reasons, has assumed a central role in IVF treatment cycles, which has resulted in rapidly expanding cryopreserved oocyte and embryo inventory of IVF clinics. We aspire to consider how and with what resources can tools and technology offer solutions to these cryobiology programs. Methodologies that rely on manual record-keeping and human glue for specimen inventory management are not sustainable or scalable for the modern IVF clinic. Automation-complemented cryostorage, offering integrated software and hardware solutions, in addition to much-anticipated innovations and applications in assisted fertilization and embryo culture, will herald a new era of IVF in which embryologists can apply their expertise through scientific knowledge, experience, and innovative design.
