The Importance of Ovarian Tissue Transportation to Reproduction Outcomes
摘要
While ovarian tissue cryopreservation is now considered an established method in many countries, access to this procedure is still minimal, and demand continues to increase. In order to expand the access to cryopreservation, more attention needs to be given to the transportation of the tissue, allowing small clinics to offer this procedure to their patients. There are not many studies on this field, and much is needed to establish a standard protocol for ovarian tissue transportation in order to improve the quality of ovarian transplants, which will increase the fertility rates of transplanted patients. In this chapter, we will discuss the importance of ovarian tissue transportation and what is already known, also reflecting on studies in animal species, so we can understand the patterns and be able to create guidelines for the future.
