A Case of Giant Cell Arteritis and Stroke
摘要
Giant cell arteritis can cause both a systemic and intracranial vasculitis which is associated with ischaemic stroke. Stroke due to this large artery vasculitis is high mortality and requires intervention with disease modulating drugs. Due to this the condition requires multidisciplinary complex case management for both diagnosis and for management. This case also discusses the use of vessel wall imaging in confirming diagnosis.
