Cerebral Venous Thrombosis Due to Vaccine-Induced Thrombotic Thrombocytopenia

This case describes a 22-year-old right-handed man who received the first dose of ChAdOx1-nCoV-19 (Oxford-AstraZeneca) vaccine and subsequently suffered extensive cerebral venous sinus thrombosis associated with anti PF4 antibodies. This rare response to the vaccine shares features with heparin induced thrombocytopenia. The discussion is of management and prognosis of patients with this condition.
