Feeling Justice
摘要
This chapter shows that paying close attention to feelings helps elucidate how the elements of justicecraft—the skills, knowledge, labor, affect, and materiality—converge to open up and shut down the potential for change in situated struggles for justice. Taking the feelings of justice seriously enables a better understanding of what can be seen and said, who has the ability to see it and say it, and how it is possible to recognize and achieve political change. The first part of the chapter examines audiences of justicecraft in order to highlight how power silences affect and distort knowledge, labor, and materiality. The second part explores artistic interventions as alternative spaces of justice which provoke affective responses that change with the passage of time.
