Nonadherence in Pediatric Orthopedics: A Solutions Based Approach
摘要
The duty of caring for pediatric patients with orthopedic conditions is hindered by several factors that lead to non-adherence to treatment plans including patient/family, socioeconomic, healthcare/systems, condition-related, and intervention-related factors. In this chapter, specific problems related to each factor will be identified and then potential solutions to overcome these barriers will be discussed. Ultimately, orthopedic care outcomes in pediatric patients can be maximized with the proper training, resources, and systems in place.
