Techie Unionisation in the IT Society

Trade unions are one of the most important bodies that can work to ensure the well-being of workers. However, because of the various kinds of policies that are implemented within the IT sector of India, trade unionisation within the Indian IT sector has been an extremely tumultuous terrain for most unions. This chapter draws upon some of the recent advancements made in the domain of IT workers’ organisational methods and sees them in light of the existent class structure in the IT hubs.
