Long Wavelength Quantum Energy Exchange and Its Possible Role in Cellular Recognition and Communication
摘要
The long wavelength quantum electromagnetic energy exchange, Poynting vector \((Watts/m^{2})\) , between two semi-infinite dielectric media separated by a third one, at constant same temperature for the three media, is derived using Rytovs’ method. As an example we consider the system lipid-water-lipid, resembling two membrane cells exchanging energy between each other. This phenomenon could be involved in cell and molecular communication and recognition.
