Blockchain Technology and Quantum Computing: A Promising Solution for the Healthcare Industry and COVID-19 Pandemic

Blockchain technology could benefit both the healthcare industry and efforts to stop the COVID-19 pandemic. This study examines the significance of blockchain and concludes that, in the future, healthcare systems will use blockchain technology and associated protocols to automatically monitor patients, collect data from sensors, and store data securely. With this technology, it is possible to store a lot of data in different places and keep it safe. It also makes it possible to access the data whenever and wherever it is needed. As a result, the process of carrying out operations is much simpler when this technology is used. Quantum blockchain can maximize quantum computing’s benefits, such as the ability for using infrared cameras and the speed at which sick people can be found and observed. This includes the capability of acquiring thermal imaging based on quantum computing. Another tool that can be employed to protect the data privacy of records while simultaneously ensuring their authenticity and making them easily accessible is known as the quantum blockchain. If an amalgamation of quantum computing and blockchain technology is employed to process medical records, there is the potential for a more private and expedited process compared to the current state. This paper examines the potential advantages and blockchain applications and quantum computing within the fields of pharmacy, medicine, and healthcare systems. With this framework, the study assesses and contrasts quantum and blockchain technologies with other innovative information and communication technologies, including artificial intelligence, drones, machine learning, and similar innovations. Within this context, the terminology “blockchain technologies” is used to refer to both quantum- and blockchain-based technologies.
