Music DApp on the Solana Blockchain Platform: Design, Development, and Analysis

Decentralized applications (DApps) are the instructions or the software programs which run on a distributed system like a blockchain. Client-server architecture does not guarantee transparency and verification of data, but DApps are independent of client-server architecture. DApps through blockchain is immutable, maintain transparency and integrity, and verify the data as well as the user of the data. Such applications facilitate new directions for the building, deployment, and maintenance of software. In this paper, a DApp music player is designed and developed. The smart contract helps users to communicate data in blockchain programmatically. For the research work, Solana blockchain has been chosen because it is decentralized and provides very good transactions per second and low gas charges. The developed DApp also helps to safeguard the privacy of users and their access records. The research work contributes in maintaining the authenticity, integrity, and confidentiality.
