Modeling the Morphology Evolution of Recrystallized Grains of Aluminum Alloys Under Oriented Growth and Anisotropic Dispersoid Pinning

摘要

Static recrystallization takes place during the annealing of deformed metals, and the resulting fine or coarse, equiaxed or lath-like recrystallized grains together with various textures can have a significant effect on the material’s performance. In this work, oriented growth and anisotropic dispersoid pinning effects on boundary migration are taken into account in a cellular automaton model to simulate the morphology evolution of recrystallized grain in aluminum alloy. Diverse grain morphology can be predicted when varying the settings of annealing condition, and the underlying physical mechanism is discussed based on the simulated results.
