摘要

When a student has a disability, this is usually considered a huge barrier to learning, especially for students in high school or higher. In the present work, an approach based on the Design Thinking methodology has been implemented to develop a virtual reality application prototype that supports the learning of students with disabilities in Student Care Center with disabilities. Disabilities. Working in close collaboration with teachers who instruct a group of 18 students between the ages of 15 and 27, the critical stages in the application development process are defined to overcome some barriers. That these students face every day in their education. The methodology used has allowed constant improvement in the creation of the prototype through the development of several iterations of each of the stages of this approach. This study highlights the importance of constant communication with users, in this case, students with disabilities and the teachers who instruct them, to ensure the application's design is optimally adapted to individual needs. As a result, the distinct phases of the prototype creation are presented using the Design Thinking methodology, illustrating the joint work of teachers, students, and researchers both in the definition and in the development of virtual reality applications focused on improving inclusive education.
